Feel so sad ds2 (2) is getting grommets for poorly ears

All in the title really. Can't bear the thought of them taking my little baby away for operation and scared they won't bring him back safe and sound. Irrational I know as lots of other children have far more serious ops but he has been sooooo poorly since he was born and I can't help think how fragile he is.

It's normal to feel emotional beforehand but it is a very quick and straightforward op so try not to worry.

was wondering if the doc might give me some valium for the day of op - it worked wonders when i had to go on a long flight.
