Hayfever in 4yo

DH suffers from hayfever, and is now convinced that DS (4) is suffering as he has a runny nose. He sneezes occasionally as well. I'm not convinced - I don't suffer myself so I don't really 'get' hayfever to be honest.
Is there a remedy for DS, if it is hayfever? I don't believe he's suffering really, just DH being paranoid/hypochondriac...
DO children get hayfever?

Sorry if I sound dumb and uncaring

I heard a mum telling someone the other day that her daughter suffers from hay fever... and was suggested that they put vasaline under thier nose (i don't how long it would stay there for i spose it depends on the child!) but apparently it catches the pollen that could set off hayfever.... like i say i don;t speak from experience but it might be worth a go on particuarly high pollen count days maybe???? good luck!

Thanks for the reply, JS. DH has heard that one as well, and has been trying it (on himself as well). I haven't noticed a reduction in moaning though! But worth a shot, before resorting to medication.
