Recurring stye?

My dd has had what the pharmacist has told me is a stye for the past three weeks. I have been applying Brolene ointment as required.

I am now not sure that it is a stye, it comes and goes so have only been applying the ointment when her eyelid is red.

If it is a stye would it stay red all the time? Also, is it worth a trip to the doc's?

Thanks.

I am not sure about children but I take a homeopathic remedy when I get styes ... euphrasia ... it may be worth looking up whether it is suitable for little ones but it certainly works for me!

Thanks for that bodiddly.
There was no redness this morning but she is complaining of it feeling sore. I have made an appt with the GP.
