Iron deficiency

My dd 11 months old has been grumpy today and couldn't settle to sleep during the day I also noticed she's been really pale.for some reason I do not think it's teething this time...Could this be an iron deficiency?How would you susspect that?
I know this is quite common for children this age.She's beeen toddling around a lot recently.
Can I request to get the iron levels checked by the doctor somehow?

yes you can request a blood test but they're not very pleasant for them - another way to get an idea is to see how pale her mucous membranes are, ie inside her mouth should be nice and dark pink, pulling down her lower eyelid should be nice and pink and her fingernail beds should also be a good pink colour.

constipation can also be another symptom, although there are lots of sumptoms for ID anaemia - if worried, you could supplement her with a multivit, i like jurassic juice by wholesale health.
