My 3.5 yo had his last week. He had low dose booster of dip, tetanus and polio in one arm and mmr in other. was warned that a rash may appear after a week as a reaction to mmr but nothing so far and no other ill-effects (touch wood). This was in scotland so don't know if it will be different in your region. Have a chat with your hv if he/she is approachable. What is it that worries you? Given the recent measles outbreak in Wales, i am relieved that ds1 has had his booster.

In england we give mmr and diptheria tetanus polio together.Giving the vaccines together encourages a greate uptake of the mmr vaccine in terms of antibody production but if you ask for the two injections to be seperate I am sure they wont mind.

So its the same as in scotland then tulip? i guess also its harder to schedule 2 appts then just one and you get it over and done with in one go. I would suggest both jabs at one appt though as ds1 would never had gone in without a serious fight for a second jab - it was so much easier when they were tiny...
