Quick threadworm question

Baby (1) has worms, yuk. No signs yet in the rest of us, but we all dosed with Ovex. Have hoovered and wet dusted the whole house, bleached everything that can be bleached and will burn bedding and towels ceremonially tonight . Do I also have to clean toys too and is there anything else I should be doing?

Yes, wash everyones bums first thing in the morning (wash flannels straight away!), and wash fingers then too, with a nail brush. Dose again with Ovex in 2 weeks (but read on here that 1 week is best)

Morning bum wash - right. But do I clean the toys too? I was going to put soft toys through the machine anyway. God my life is exciting!

I'd wash them anyway. Will make you feel better

I would wash soft toys and bedding/ towels.
DOny think burning is necessary though

If the medication has worked are the worms dead when they leave the body.
Has the medication not worked if the worms are moving when they leave the body?

I have read that it paralyses the worms so they come out and this seems to be the cases judging by my little ones evacuation yesterday! So many of them, he must have had them a while before they became a problem .

I read (possibly on here) that pineapple discourages threadworms, could be a tasty way to keep them at bay in the future.

I have just ordered some Grapefruit extract as heard its good for prevention - worth a try!
