I stupidly stroked a (collared, so house) cat and when 2 yo DD came up to see he went for her. She is lightly scratched on the arm the skin just broken. I have washed it and put Savlon on, is there anything more I should do? She is a bit upset and shocked but seems ok....

Do early jabs include tetanus (can't remember!) ? Perhaps ring HV and see if that would be a good precaution in circs?

I think she'll be fine, although after a cat scratched DS at the same age he's now scared of them.

My ds was scratched when he was younger and it became infected - apparently cats have lots of bacteria on their claws. Hope she's okay.

Yes I did wash straight away but they are filthy. She was only trying to stroke him saying "hello my pussycat"
