Send DS (5) to school with spluttery cough and cold?

He has been coughing and spluttering most of the night. He's all right, though - in himself. And I'm a great believer in carrying on when you have a cold/cough. But will school mind him being in?

yes!! he'll spread it around. and coughing is really annoying when you're reading a story. having said that, most parents / a lot do send them in anyway so it won't make much difference!!

Depends on how bad it is. DS had a cough recently for two weeks, but was fine and knows to put his hand over his mouth. I couldn't have kept him off all that time, would have been daft. I did keep him off for a couple of days at the start of it though, as he was very run down.
