How soon after chest infection for MMR?

Hi all,

My DS is 14.5 months old and I posted last week about how worried I was because he was really ill for about a week. Took him to A&E and he was diagnosed with what possibly started out as a viral infection into a chest infection. Once he was on ABs, he's recovered very quickly and now eating again and hopefully put on the weight he lost from almost a week of not eating/drinking. My dilemma is that he is really overdue his 12-month jabs. The reason why I have put it off for so long is that he was ill around his birthday and I really wanted him fit and healthy before he gets his MMR. He was really healthy before he got the chest infection but my parents were visiting from overseas and I didn't want the jabs to affect their visit as this is only the third time they are seeing him. How long would you personally leave it before taking your DC for the MMR if they are just recovering from a chest infection? There's no question about him having it. I'm trying to judge how 'dangerous' it is to leave him without it for another month or so. He goes to nursery and we do live in SE London (high risk area for measles I think!). Thanks!

Ax
