Secondary molars

Anyone know about timings of secondary molars coming though? I have read that the four secondary molars should come through between 2 and 3, but my 18 month old is showing all signs of terrible teething even though he has all 16 of his first teeth....any advice about what this could be? TIA

did he get his first teeth quite early? This teething chart shows second molars coming through around 20-24 months although some will get them earlier and some later.

I thought bottom molars come about 20 months ish. My DS is almost 20 months and they are def on their way anyway!

Thanks for your responses Seona and Maxy, he did get his first tooth around 4 months, and had all the first 16 by 1 year, so maybe it is the second ones, certainly showing all the signs, just as I'd put all the teething rings, dentinox and powders away for a while!

my trio had all their molars etc by 24mths so he may well just be getting them early.
