Question about baby teeth and adult teeth - any dental people about?

My friend's little girl is 6 and lost her 2 front teeth about 10 weeks ago - there is still no sign of her adult ones coming through. My little girl's teeth are always coming through as her old one's fall out (though they wobble for weeks). Should my friend be worried or is it quite common to take that long?

Thanks

Jx

I'm no expert at all jacanne but I know DS's front teeth fell out months before his new ones came through. In fact, one of them has still not arrived and he lost his baby ones last year!

My DD lost her two front teeth several months ago and there still isn't any sign of the adult ones. Her bottom two teeth were growing behind the baby ones. The new teeth were almost the whole way up before the baby ones fell out. Each child is different and even the way the teeth come up/fall out are different so I don't think she has anything to worry about. If in any doubt make an appointment with the dentist. They would be more than happy to see your friends DD and it would put her mind at ease.

My ds lost his two top front teeth 6 months ago and we're still waiting for a glimpse of the adult ones.

My concern is that I was missing a couple of adult teeth (not at the front fortunately) and this can be inherited.

Anyone else had to wait 6 months before the next teeth appear? Or is he likely to face years of orthodontic treatment and false teeth?
