So apparently that was Chicken Pox...

DD only had a few tiny red bumps on her back, 3 of which turned into little blistery spots and disappeared with a tiny crust and one new one the next day.

This started 3 weeks after being exposed to a friend with Chicken Pox.

It seems so mild- I had the calamine, piriton and even a copy of "Topsy and Tim have chicken pox" which I would highly recommend, at the ready- and didn't need any of it (although DD loves the book)!

GP thinks it was C Pox, although I can hardly believe it.

Has any one else got off so lightly? Am I lucky? Could it be something else? (apologies to those that are really suffering)

Mine had it and only had 1 spot.

He got it properly later though and then his sister did and she was really ill with it at 12 months.

My friend's little girl has just had chickenpox for the 2nd time this year. Spots affected the areas it didn't last time. I.e. she had on legs and arms first time round, this time it was the torso and hair.

DS supposedly had it and he only had 2 spots which were puss-y. He was only 15 months old so I don't think it's enough for him to be immune from it. I would like to be wrong though! I also have full bottles of piriton and calamine lotion!

dd1 had chicken pox according to the doc. it disappeared overnight.

she really did get it last year, but until her brother and sister caught it from her, we didn't realise that's what it was (we thought she had 4 insect bites). ds1 and dd2 covered in spots gave us the clue lol.

fingers crossed, eh?

My first dd had it mild then again with loads of spots i'm afraid.

Ds2 (14mo) recently had a very mild case of chicken pox. He had about 10 spots on his torso that vanished within 48 hours. The GP reckons he'll get it again 'properly' some point down the line.
