Hello

I took my child to HV last week for something and she asked me if my child has had her 2 year check up. I said to her that i didnt know they had one as I havent been contacted and it is not in their red book!!!

Do they make this up as they go along???

Any info???

My dd has hers on Monday.

yes the health visitors like to do a quick check at 2 or 3
nothing to worry about and entirely voluntary.

TrinityIsLovingHerLittleRhino · 07/05/2009 10:50

they are stopping it here in dumfries and galloway

tis voluntary and no big issue

No. Ours send a "What your child should be able to do now" list and then parents contact the HV if there are any problems.

Thanks for your comments
It just annoys when they speak to you as if you should know about these checks even when thay dont tell you are not it the red books.
Mind you HV's are so busy they probably cant keep up with everyone I am lucky to have a HV.
