chicken pox - how far away is 'safe'

ie can I take dd into shops? Not too bothered about children, but don't want to unwittingly get too close to a pregnant woman.

Or do we have to stay in for the entire infectious time? [gloomy face!]

I would stay in for infectious time. Pregnant women are not the only problem - people with immune system problems such as being on chemo should not be exposed. DD might be pretty uncomfortable too and it is unfair to go out. Get someone to babysit while you go out?

nope have to stay in until all spots have scabbed up it is frustrating dd1 got it a week before xmas.
