Mumps?

DS1 has come home from scout camp with red swollen face (looks like a hamster), he woke up like it this morning though leader said it has gone down a bit. He feels a bit warm and has bit of a cough(has had this for a week or so. Seems fine in himself, eating, drinking, playing on his DS. Does this sound like mumps?

Going to keep an eye on him and take him to Drs in morning. Should I tell them I think he has mumps when I ring for an appointment.

does it look ridiculously and impossibly swollen? that was ds1 with it. i almost fell over when i saw it. ds was fine and recovered v quickly. i think it is notifiable so gp likes to know of any cases in the area

He looks like a completely different child, I only recognised him by the stripey jumper he had on
