Hi

Just wondering if anyone knows how long a child is contagious for after having had Rotavirus ??

My LO had been fine since last Saturday after having Rotavirus but everyone i speak to tell me different times for being contagious ranging from 8 days to 2 weeks

Many Thanks

What doctors normally say that for rotavirus and norovirus you should keep child away from nursery or school for 48hrs after the last bout of vomitting or diarrhea, ofsted says 24hrs (!!) - though I don't think 24hrs is sufficient time to see whether the child is fine or not.
