My baby only poos about once a week. Is this normal? Follow my attempts to get daily poo at poodunnit.blogspot.com/.

How strange. My babies poo-ed often. The were bf until around 6 months then bottle

I added an entry last week about fact that my baby hadn't done a poo for 5 days - that day he finally did. Lots of people said normal for bf baby to go days without poo as breast milk well absorbed and so guess not a lot left to get rid of. He is perfectly happy and well inbetween. Only gets a bit gassy the couple of days before he goes and this makes him squirm a bit when feeding sometimes inthe preceeding days. Doesn't seem to strain at all when he goes and it is very runny when he does.

Funnily enough, since I started this discussion, we have had several poos a day! Now I am worrying that there's something wrong because it's not like her!

She is 20 weeks old and now predominantly formula fed. She's had one breast milk bottle a day for the last two months and before that she was breast fed.

I have put the latest poo situation, including the poo in the bath last night (!) on the blog poodunnit.blogspot.com
