I can't face it, I really can't.

About a month, maybe 6 weeks ago, he had the same bug that everyone in his class had - being very very sick for a couple of days and then poorly for about a week more.
His brother who is 1 had it too, and was sick for about a week.

I had mountains of washing to do and it was incredibly difficult as I am terrified of sick.

Today he has been tired and stroppy and about an hour ago said he felt sick. He said he doesn't feel like he will be sick, just feels it iyswim...he is all pale and droopy and is lying on the sofa with his dummy.

Last time he started off with the instant run-to-the-toilet thing, so it seems a bit different but please tell me kids can feel sick and not throw up for days on end.

Could it be something else? He's decided we can't go out either, I only wanted a paper and some chocolate...now stuck in with two bored/ill children.

Help

With you in misery, I had thurs and fri off with dd2 who has a sick bug, thought she was at the end of it now she has just been sick again, meanwhile dd1 has burst into tears about 25 times today, I just can't get anything right and she is obviously coming down with something as well. It's such a lovely weekend I can't stand to be inside shouting too much and doing jobs. Hope yours better soon.

Thanks Jiminy, gosh that sounds hellish - it's the not knowing how long they will keep chucking up, that gets me. I hate running around between them trying to prevent the other one catching it - usually to no avail!

Sending good vibes your way.

Oh I hope not Flight. All my sympathies (am fully fledged emetophobe, member of the Mumsnet emetophobes club and everything).

IF (and it is a big IF) he has another bug it will very likely be less serious than it was last time, shorter-lived and he will get over it quicker. IME. Fingers crossed.

Thanks Minty

you know what to say, feel better reading that

I'm counting the hours he isn't sick and hoping it passes. Trouble with ds is he throws up at slightest provocation and always has, s when he actually says he feels sick it is generally time to run for cover iyswim

He is just very droopy. Has decided to make a bionicle now so that is good.

He keeps saying the scones he had made him feel ill. Just normal scones with raisins in and peanut butter on...like that would make anyone sick! (I had one too)

Flight - if he's ok and you can leave him for a minute come and cheer yourself up on the "what are you a snob about?" thread. Tis v funny and hasn't descended into a bunfight yet .
