My DD (now 2half) has had piles since she was just over 1 due to suffering badly from constipation. The past few days she has been complaining of a sore bum and it itching. I applied a tiny amount of anusol today but it says not to use on under 18s. Anyone got a ny advice please?

She drinks lots and lots, eat fruit and veg, is active etc etc. She gets lactulose regularly but now frets about pooing and holds it in - which I didn't want to happen but what can you do? I have tried to make it relaxed - using a book on the potty 9thinking this would be easier to push it out), however, she refuses to poo in the potty and usually does it when sleeping or in bed!

So advice needed re constipation, piles and how to treat them at this age.

TIA.
