Croup and Asthma

Hi DST2 has suffered from croup since he was 10 months old and I was told that he would eventually grow out of it. He is now 4 and, since we had the wet weather over Easter, is coughing v badly at night boarding on croup. I've been to the Dr who has given him an inhaler and also told me that he is very chesty - I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up asthmatic.

What I would like to know if any whose DD or DS suffers with the same has found that by changing their diet this has helped and what did they change.

Not sure if this is helpful, but I was asthmatic as a child and also intolerant to cow's milk - I went through phases of eczema, bad asthma, sinus problems...but cutting out dairy completely always helped.

Thanks for your suggestion.

When DST2 was younger he had goats milk and soya yoghurts because he had blocked tearducts however once they were sorted out we gave him cows milk. Although he is not a big milk drinker I am going to put him back on goats milk to see if that helps.
