baby with sore crease under eye

you know the crease beneath the eye that leads to the top of the cheek? dd (7 weeks)has got a sore bit oozing a little bit of crusty stuff in the fold (think as it's so deep due to v podgy cheeks)

anyone seen same? hve been cleaning with cool boiled water but not sure if it's best tp keep it dry....or can i put anyhthing on it?

7 weeks and I think I would be going to the GP for that.

yeah, have done today, TIS - can't work out why it's sore - just cos it's deep (the crease) or maybe she scratched it

My Ds used to get something like this - in his case it was an eye infection, in the crease not on the eye itself. Breast milk is great - I had an eye infection which cleared in 24 hours of using breastmilk!

That said I did get some ointment from the docs for ds which worked too.

the crease above or below? mmm, am hoping bm works on it - think ok to wait till mon for gp, if doesn't get radically worse?

i would wait if it is just a small area.
