Vomiting/possetting 8 week old, any ideas? Reflux?

DS2 was born 2 weeks early 8 weeks ago. He was exclusively breastfed until 6 weeks, and has one bottle of formula a day now at about 4 pm. He's 91st percentile height and weight and is now 12lb 14 (birth weight 7lb 14)

DS2 doesn't ever throw up or posset at night (I feed him side-lying). Daytimes on the other hand can be horrendous. Some days are fine and we get a few possets, today was 18 vomits (3 were enough to cause puddles on the floor) and 7 clothes changes for me (not to mention sofa covers, cushions etc). I feed DS2 in the tummy-facing position in the day and hold him upright afterwards, and wind him regularly.

DH gives DS2 a bottle of formula at about 4pm so I can cook and he keeps this down, but not BM (though he throws up digested milk usually). We have tried infant Gaviscon but that just caused projectile vomits!

Is this reflux?

could be!
Sounds similar to my DD1, she was 4 weeks early and had same symptoms at 6 1/2 weeks!

Go to Dr & get checked tho because there are other conditions it could be that would need checking!

Thanks Cake, did she grow out of it or did you get it treated?
