DS is 19 weeks old and has caught chickepox from his 3yo sister.

Obviously I am monitoring his temp and giving calpol if feverish.

Anything different I need to be doing/looking for in a baby with chickenpox?

Am also a bit worried as he had his 4 month jabs last Weds as he seemed well and his spots only appeared yesterday.

He is ebf btw.

Nope. Nothing you need to do extra, especially if ebf (on demand?).

You might want to dab calamine lotion on the spots, especally around the nappy area.

My Baby had it at exactly the same age and I don't think she noticed it.

Thanks Starlight

Yes, I am bf on demand. I've had it so I'm hoping that means he will only have a mild dose.

It's good to hear your LO didn't even notice it. Fingers crossed here

we were on a cruise ship

I couldn't risk being confined to the cabin for 8 days with her and a 2yr old, so covered her up and just so stayed away from kids clubs and the excursions, but still people wanted to touch her.

I was forever shouting 'No, don't touch my baby', or 'no you can't hold her'. People must have thought I was being very precious.
