this is day 3 of it and he's so unhappy. DS1 got it from nursery and was ill last weekend and now DS2 has it.

he is permanently running a temp of between 37.5 and 38 and is very moany. the snot is just running out of him. So far he has had medinol every 6hrs and neurofen every 8 for the last 48hrs plus karvol drops on his bib. His temp comes down after each dose of medicine but its not staying down so he's sat next to a fan with one of those cooling gel pads on his forehead. hes got goosebumps on his arms & legs but his head is boiling. there's no rash, hes not photophobic and hes not flobby. He's still eating a bit and BFing more than normal but he's so unhappy.

I dont remember DS1s baby cold being this bad.

anyone got any tips to help up get through today?

(btw i know deep down there's nothing else i can do but posting here makes it seem like i'm not alone as its a long day til DH get home at 6pm)

warm bath i was told to use warm rather than cold things as it causes baby to shiver and body heat comes back up again

so dress lightly with thin blanket dont stick in cold area it says not to have fan directly on child but on in the room to keep room temp cool

if really bunged up then steam the bathroom and sit in for few minutes to relieve congestion
