My DS was unwell at the weekend, very tired grumpy and had a temperature. I took him to the gp yesterday who said he had a bad throat infection so gave him antibiotics. He gave him erythomycin this time as he last had amoxicillin 2 weeks ago for a throat infection (possibly the same one).

He now has a rash all over really but far worse on his legs and nappy area. Took him back to the docs this morning and he said it may be an allergic reation to the erythromycin or a viral rash due to his throat. However there has been chicken pox going round DS nursery so I'm wondering if it could be that. The spots don't look classically chicken pox but he's scratching a lot and bottom shuffling when his nappy is off so his bottom is obviously bothering him.

We've had 3 sleepless nights now as he just can't settle and he refuses to be left alone in his cot which is very unlike him.

Anyone any ideas???
