DD's chest

DD is nearly 15 months old and since birth she seems to have a lump at the bottom of her ribcage (in the middle) it looks like DP's lump that hes got due to excess cartilidge. We asked Pead about it before discharge when she was born and he said all babies get it and she'd grow out of it.

However it looks bigger to me (althought it could be my perception) and its definatly still there?

What do you think it could be?

ask your HV, because no matter if we all say its excess cartlidge you need peace of mind. x

Well she's going to the docs on Thurs about a rash thats appeared on her shoulder that I thought was eczema but wont shift while the rest of her eczema has gone. Wasn't gonna say anything as I dont want to seem dull but I'm a little worried now. esp if it is excess cartilidge like DP as his chest is really sore to him and delicate.

My DS has similar and our doc said that it was excess cart and would get bigger as he got bigger.

Oh Laura - I do hope its not this as like I said Dp has it and it causes him massive problems.

Got a docs apt for next thurs morning.

Get it checked, but I noticed this on DD2 and it was just something she outgrew - HV said it was quite normal it was just how the ribcage looked at this stage, and as she grew the "lump" disappeared. Do check though as obviously might not be the same thing.

Went to docs and they've said that it may well be what DP has but they wouldnt know without x-raying her and its not worth putting her through that radiation so its a waiting game.

Thanks though
