Is molloscum and eczema linked ??

Just wondering as ds(has eczema) has had a really bad case of molloscum for 18 mths. Thankfully it is now clearing.
However both dd's have caught it too.
DD1 has no skin problems and has maybe 6/7 spots that are all clearing now.
However dd2 (has eczema and v sensitive skin)is also getting the spots quite badly and they are spreading a lot.

Would this just be down to the itching spreading them ????

They are not linked but I have ben told that childrne with eczema are more likely to have a worse dose of molluscum. Also likely to be trickier re infections.

No eczema here but bad molloscum. DD had them 12 months and despite changing towels, cloths, clothing etc daily, the little buggers are still spreading

my ds who is four has bad molloscum (has had it for 2.5 years) its all over the backs of his legs and he has eczema on the backs of his knees and on his hands...however the eczema appeared later on.

Pointy that's what i was wondering..
Spula ds had it really badly virtually on every part of his body. He picked them too.
Tried a few things when he started crying about pe at school
Then as quickly as they started they just all started dissapearing
Has taken about 2 weeks for them all to virtually clear on there own.
Bar the few scars he is going to have with picking.
