Sickness bug or something else?

Hi my DD (4 1/2) was sick last night at 11.30pm and all night long as well (just bile and feeling sick after the initial proper vomitting).
It seems to have calmed down now and she has had some water to sip, and DH and I were assuming it was a sickness bug.
However, I remembered that yesterday she fell over and grazed her ankle slightly and this morning when I asked her to try and rotate it she said that it hurt. Then I tried to rotate it for her and she said it hurt as well.
When she's walking she seems to not want to put any weight on the whole foot just the heel.
I was wondering: could there be a link between her sore ankle and her sickness?

No, I don't think so I think it's probably just a coincidence but it might be worth getting the ankle checked out if she's still reluctant to weightbear, can you call your surgery and ask advice?

No she didn't bang her head.
How long can the sickness last? Sorry when we've had sickness bugs before both my children were never sick more than about 10 times.
So far it's been about 20 times since last night. Plus she really wants to drink water and pukes it back up 20 minutes later.
Otherwise fine in herself no temperature just a bit tired.

it is important to keep her hydrated - let her sip water not drink a cup full, or let her suck an ice cube, or just rinse her mouth with water and not swallow

once she has stopped being sick she will ask for food - hold off a while! and NO milky products for a full 48 hrs,or you will regret it!

Oh thank you for that.
When she drinks water she does sip it but earlier she had about six sips as she couldn't resist it. It came back up.
At the moment she just seems to get the cramps with no sickness. Does this mean it's the end of it (until I get it)!!
