Do you always have to go to A&E with this? Ds(2) fell backwards off the bed and was sick shortly afterwards, he is fine now and happily eating melon.

can you go to see your gp? I'd get someone to check it out.

jeminthecity · 06/04/2009 14:27

Best to just get checked out anyway?

rubyslippers · 06/04/2009 14:28

i thought you must see someone if you have vomiting after a head injury

GP or A & E

cheesesarnie · 06/04/2009 14:30

when ds2 did this they took him to hospital for observation although he looked fine.

LadyOfScoffleTheEasterEggs · 06/04/2009 14:31

Definatly get it checked by someone.

LadyOfScoffleTheEasterEggs · 06/04/2009 14:31

& hope he is better soon

Warmseabreeze · 06/04/2009 14:32

Definately take him to GP's or A&E ASAP as I think being sick can be a sign of a more serious injury. I might be wrong, don't mean to panic you but if it was me I would go to A&E now.

Elibean · 06/04/2009 14:34

Best get it checked, but don't panic - its very common for small children to vomit after a fall. dd's friend did exactly this the other day, and they were told to watch her closely for signs of head injury - but she was fine.

I would still get him checked though, or at the very least ring NHS direct for advice.

BlackLetterDay · 06/04/2009 14:42

Ok thanks for your replies, I will ring NHS direct and pop him to the Gp. Don't really want to go to the hospiital, he was only there on thursday, they will think he's a right neglectarino.

hows it going?

BlackLetterDay · 06/04/2009 15:51

I phoned NHS direct and they were happy for me to keep an eye on him at home phew! but any signs of oddness and off to A&E. Poor little guy ain't having a good week.
