DS had this almost 6 months ago to the day when he was 7 months. It was utterly miserable - he didn't have the spots on hands or feet but a stonking sore throat, went on breastfeeding strike for days, was threatened with hospital rehydration because he wouldn't drink, etc. And then I got it (sores on fingers, feet and fanjo! and the worst sore throat ever)...

This time round, he's been ill since tuesday morning and has had high temps, which come down with calpol/iboprofen but go up again, and he's got a sore throat, but I've just spotted the trademark blisters on his fingers and tongue. He's nearly 13 months.

I didn't know you could get this twice - thought he'd have immunity. Anyone else had it twice? I'm hoping he's over the worst of the high temperatures (40.1 last night, been a lot better since) but he's really miserable and won't eat or drink much at all. At least he's eating blackcurrant sorbet and jelly (for the water!) and I'll get some more ice cream...
