DD was ill with a tummy bug Sunday night she also has a cough .

She is going up and down one minute full of beans and the next falling asleep she seemed much better today and had her appetite back so I sent her to afternoon nursery . At hometime the staff mentioned she had coughed a lot and was not her usual self .
She has come home and fell asleep .
I am going to take her to drop in in the morning just wondered if anyone had any advice in the meantime .

DS (2) started coughing yesterday the puked all night . He's still coughing but hasn't puked since the early hours even though he's eaten (dry cereal )

Hope your LO (and mine!) gets better soon.

dd2 has had very similar thing. She was coughing a bit Saturday, threw up during the night, and again in the morning, refused food all that day but had her appetite back the next day. Since then, she's been tired on/off, asked to go to bed once or twice, but also had times of normal play...she's a bit pale, and doens't look quite back to normal, to me.

I think it just takes the usual 5-10 days for a virus to clear the system, unfortunately, even though the sick part was short-lived...

my DS had a temperature on friday, vomited a couple of times, slept a lot..his temperature didn't go down....started up a little cough on Saturday, we took him to out of hours doctor. (No previous cold symptoms.)

He has pneumonia and needed an overnight stay in hospital for oxygen on Saturday night. Quite a big patch on his lung on the x-ray. He is on antibiotics now but still very tired.

The consultant said he had seen a lot more children with this since September last year.

Could it be worth seeing the doictor just in case?
