Sorry, if it were me I'd get him checked out by a dr. I'm sure he's fine, but I'd worry all night if I didn't get a dr to tell me so!

Curiousmama · 24/03/2009 20:08

NHS direct say: "However, you should call NHS Direct on 0845 4647 if:

  • your child seems to be having trouble moving their limbs,
  • your child seems to be more irritable than normal,
  • your child seems confused,
  • your child?s memory or speech is not normal,
  • your child is vomiting (being sick),
  • your child still has a headache more than 6 hours after the injury, or their headache is becoming worse, or
  • this self-help guide does not address your child?s symptoms."

It's the prolonged headache that would worry me.

Curiousmama · 24/03/2009 20:17

Just did the check on nhs direct for you and if he seems otherwise fine you should be ok?

Anyway will link it so you can answer the questions yourself

Curiousmama · 24/03/2009 20:19

You can always ring them like lindenlass says but they'll no doubt tell you to go to a&e or walk in?

i'm with Lindenlass. Given the headache I'd call NHS direct, or even go to a&e. It's probably just hte bump and bruise but it's worth checking out.

Curiousmama · 24/03/2009 20:24

You probably won't sleep anyway so may as well take him. I always have if mine have bumped their heads.

LEMAGAIN · 24/03/2009 21:05

Sorry, but you need to take him to a drs better safe and inconvenienced than sorry
