chicken pox

Ds had 4 red spots last night today about 6-7 spots he looks fine and has no tempeture can this be chicken pox last night they looked like spots but today like blisters. What do we do shall I take him to the doctors or is the cream enough to tret him.

if its chicken pox best not to go to the doctors, its highly contagious and they won't thank you for it!

I'd ring NHS Direct 0845 4647 they are very helpful. When my dd had it they diagnosed her over the phone and gave excellent treatment advice. Hope he gets better soon

how long does it take for all the spots to appear ds has still only got 6-7 this is his 2.day since I noticed if it is cp

Can take four or five days for all the spots to come out.

If they started as red spots and then progress to 'water' blisters then it's chicken pox.

You can use Calpol and/or Nurofen and Piriton together, this was the advice from my GP. Hopefully it will be a mild case and he won't suffer too much!

my ds is 3 1/2 the spots started friday he had four one on his stomach 2 on his back and 1 on his thigh they were red . Today he has about 7-8 and turned into blisters he has no temperature generally happy and eating ok
