It started last monday when he had around 2 really foul nappies and the same again on tuesday. Weds, thurs and fri he had foul nappies still but only the one when he woke up the rest of the day he has been fine.

I phoned NHS direct on friday as I was worried after 5 days. They said it can take up to 7 days to clear the system so if he is still bad on mon take hime to the docs. Mon morning the nappy was liquid still so I took a sample from it and went to see the nurse (the receptionist decided to book me in to see her even though I asked for a doctor )

She said there was nothing they could do, just send the sample off. She seemed very dismissive of me as though i shouldn't have taken him because he is absolutely fine within himself.

Tues and yesterday his poo has been mushy rather than the liquid that it was before but still not good. Today he hasn't been.

I just got the results back from the surgery that said the sample was normal, I poured it from the pot I put it in into the doctors sample pot, to me that is not normal!

Should I make another appointment to see the nurse or just leave it? What could've caused it?

Has been a tummy bug doing the rounds that takes about 1 week to get out of system.

As long as child is drinking enough water to replace lost fluids and seems happy in self not too much to worry about.

My Dd (3) had a similar bug as did Ds(1) and both had it for about 1 week. Both were eating and drinking fine and full of energy.

If nothing showing in poo sample should not worry. Perhaps make an appointment for next week to put mind at rest (say Tues or Weds?)

He is drinking loads and definatly not dehydrated. I've been feeding him ice pops if I think he hasn't drunk enough.

He has the stinkiest wind you could imagine.

Its reassuring there is a bug going round, just can't think where he got it from!

Yay, 2 weeks to the day since his first foul nappy and he has done a solid poo this morning

He still has horrible wind though.
