DD1 (7) has an infected thumb nail area. It was very swollen and pus filled. I took her to the doctors last night and he put her on antibiotics for it and said to drain it if she would allow me too.

Sooo this morning I had drained it completely and heavily bandaged it.
The question is ..

Do I send her to school or give her a day to get over it?

If she really wants to go to school I'd send her and let them to send her home if she feels sore.
If not, I'd keep her home for a recovery day.

Thanks. I was going to send her but thought it might be seen as very mean!
