He is going to the Natural History Museum (we are in NW London) and I can't decide whether or not to send him. He seems fine in himself, is currently palying with his brother. Temp was 99.2.

I would, give him some calpol and see if it reduces. Does he want to go? Will the teachers be able to medicate him when he is due more medicine? I think if so, I would be inclined to say let him go. How long are they going for?

Thanks pavlov, he is desperate to go, keeps saying he's feeling better. I think I will give him some Calpol and send him. He is being quite perky. They are going for the day ie back at 3.15.

99.2 is not really that high-children often register that even when they are well. I would send him if he is feeling fine.

I think he should go if he is perky. I temp on its own is ok, calpol will help. Would you be able to go and get him in an emergency?

Thanks again pavlov and Tiggiwinkle, he has gone, seemed absolutely fine - has never got ready so quickly for school before - but I gave Calpol anyway. Yes I could get him if I had to.
