got any magic cream ( whatever your preference) that he could dab in with some cotton wool,, when he wants to pick.. and repeat the mantra " dab.. not pick" ??

magic cream

nappyaddict · 14/03/2009 13:27

this is meant to be good too. dunno if you can get either on prescription.

Piriton will stop them itching so may help(indirectly) with teh picking.

Fortunatly DTDs didn't want to pick their "Chicken yuggets" so I didn't have that problem.

thankooo! Just checked the first aid box and realised that I had some Eurax (but expiry 09/07 - put it straight in bin!). The poxclin looks good, so will get one or the other later have got some calamine aqueous cream which seems to help too.

Let me know if it works. We haven't been hit with chicken pox yet but when we do I want to know whether to bother spending almost a tenner on it.
