So he had a cold/ear infection last week/this and 3 spots. Round flat red, but with a "pimple" in the middle, not a blister I think.

He's had chicken pox (badly) but didn't look like this. They gradually died down, but now he's got another one on his arm. Round red patch is about 1cm across.

Any ideas? I realise it's middle of the night there, but anyone???

Do you have dogs/cats? Could it be a flea bite? My DCs are getting flea/midge bites that sound like yours?

Jackaroo · 13/03/2009 01:09

No, no pets and they're not itchy.. should've said.. thanks for replying though. Any other ideas?

hello again!

we've had a few rounds of hands foot and mouth here in Singapore.
DS (5) had mouth ulcrs but DD (10 months) just 24 hours fever then runny nose and cough and eventually a few spots around her mouth. I only realised in retrospect that it was HFM (someone from her babygroup called to say their child had it the week before!). As she was teething and drooling I tought the flu thing was just teething.

Anyway, it's a possibility, sometimes it goes almost unnoticed.

Poor you! Any sleep? Got your lists sorted for the move?

Jackaroo · 13/03/2009 01:58

Hello! A bit more sleep, but actually feel worse today if that's possible.. DH has been away for a couple of days, DS still being obnoxious, and I'm just feeling very anti-men!Bet get over it as I'm having another one!

Lists are floating araound in my head, but the general concept of having a small amount from each room avaialble is definitely the way to go I think. In theory I will have time to myself from next week.. now i've done all the running round this week to exchange ont eh houses, and will start chucking out etc then.

I know someone has had Rosecea Infantum in the last week, but DS is a bit old, and the rash doesn't sound right.

Maybe it's just viral, it does happen.

Singapore explains why you find me at the right moments!

Molluscum contagiosum - google photo and see if that's what it is. Sounds like what my two had.

Nothing you can do about them really that doesn't involve toxic chemicals. I squeezed those of my ds2 and they went away. He did get one scar from an infected one though.

Jackaroo · 13/03/2009 04:47

Damn, hadn't thought of that. Not sure if you're still there.. presumably that means weeks off nursery? It doesn't have a threat to pg./foetus does it? I'll have a look.

Many thanks (I think!).

J
