Meningitis C vaccine recall - ds3 has had one of the affected batches?

Ds3 is 20 weeks and we've just had a letter from the surgery to say he was given one of the recalled vaccines 3 weeks ago. Just says no cause for alarm, the recall was a precautionary measure, but doesn't say why the vaccine was recalled.

He's fine, just wondered what this is all about - anyone know?

I only followed this story because dd should have had her jab, 2 days before the recall, but was very poorly so I decided to postpone.

Apparently it was a batch from Europe (Italy? Holland?) and a very small sample of the vaccines were found to contain 'bacteria'. They were very adament at the time that there was absolutely no danger to children who had the jab.
