is the blood definitely from his urine? youd need a clean catch to be 100%

kaylasmum · 09/03/2009 12:06

yes definately in his urine, they checked his nappy at the out of hours gp and confirmed it. His sample came back clear for infection. He's having a scan this afternoon.

poor thing - hope everythings ok with the scan
let us know how you get on

if its just a trace that is perfectly normal, mor eis usually infection or trauma (has he fallen recently or banged himself?)

Tiggiwinkle · 09/03/2009 12:15

Kaylasmum-Good luck with your scan-I am sure it will be fine. What time is it this afternoon?

kaylasmum · 09/03/2009 12:17

he's only 2 so he quite often falls, just so nervous about all this. His abdominal examinations have shown no indication of any mass but i woory so much about my kids health. Thanks for your concern.

kaylasmum · 09/03/2009 12:19

hi tiggiwinkle, its at ten to four. I'm such a wreck and i must seem like a complete freak on here. I just need to keep seeking reassurance, the one thing i was told not to do by my phsycologist.

nailpolish · 09/03/2009 12:21

christ, wahts wrong with seeking reassurance???

Tiggiwinkle · 09/03/2009 12:21

Be sure to let us know how it went this evening. Try to relax until the appointment-do you have someone coming with you?

kaylasmum · 09/03/2009 12:24

my dp is coming with me but i don't find him very supportive. He's not a worrier like me. I'll let you all know how it goes.

Thanks for talking to me, i've felt very alone with this and its helped to be able to talk to other mums.

hi,hope everything goes ok.
i'm like you and if there's ever anything wrong with my kids i'm on here all the time seeking reassurance.
i know it's easier said than done, but do try not to panic

nailpolish · 10/03/2009 15:22

hi

how did you get on ?

kaylasmum · 10/03/2009 15:38

hi nailpolish, sorry i updated last night on my other thread. The scan went well. The radiologist said that there was a small spot of inflammation on my ds's right kidney but it was nothing to worry about and that it could be due to infection. He also said its not uncommon.

Now i need to sort out my anxiety once and for all, its really getting out of hand. I can't live like this. Thanks for your concern.
