My friend has just told me & is very upset.
Her DS's has one discoloured tooth & apparently on the other tooth (or behind it) is an abecess.

I would have thought it was better to leave them for when the front teeth come through ?

Not a dentit though - so hopefully some experts can advise & my friend is very upset & doesn't know what to do.

I don't think she knows what has caused it (am thinking anti-biotics? I am sure she is very good with teeth cleaning)

hmmm, i would be a bit about that as well

would def be getting a second opinion. just cos a toth is discoloured does not warrant its removal.
presume they are giving antibiotics for the abcess before going ahead with anything else as well??

discouloured teeth do not equal removal.
DD1 knocked both her front teeth last summer by colliding with a swing when she was 2.6yrs and they have gone brown. At the time they were black, dentist checked them and said they may fall out alone but if not she would leave them. We had another check up last week and they are now a brown colour and she said it means the nerve has healed but the actual teeth died and they will be fine until they fall out naturally.
