When does chickenpox cease to be contagious?

I have read that spotss keep arriving for about 5 days and then should start to get better. When does a child cease to be contagious? Want to know before nursery say she can't come back for 3 weeks! Thanks

after the last spot has scabbed over, in my three about 7-10 days after spots first appeared

I think it's when all the spots have scabbed over and there are no fresh blisters.

We got told at Xmas that it was when all the spots have scabbed over which took about a week.
