Acne

My DS aged 13 looks like he has got acne. We have tried all sorts of things and he is very good with cleansing and toning his face twice a day. I don't really want him to take medication.

Any suggestions?

Speak to your pharmacist and maybe try some over-the-counter topical creams like Oxy or quinoderm - a kind of halfway-house between standard skincare and the more 'medical' acne meds. They can be quite drying though, and require some perseverance.

Thanks for that. Took DS to doctor and he has acne. He has a gel and a wash - very drying and he needs to do it for 6-8 weeks until he will see a result.

I really feel for him.
