Who on MN would like to kill their GP?

We've all heard of GPs killing their patients, but I just wondered how many of you fellow MNers would like to kill your GP, or a GP that you know.

If I could do a poll I would do...

Would like to kill their GP
Wouldn't fancy killing their GP
Can't decide either way

Look forward to your answers!

Bloody hell, PregHedgeWitch. Am

I know what you mean about tonsillitis, too. It's a agony. Even my evil hateful doctor was sympathetic with me when I had it.

Sadly, OrmIrian, 'do the impossible' is definitely not what some people on this thread are expecting from their GPs. When I first went to see Dr Evil it was like he was playing a guessing game with me - 'Let's see how quickly we can guess the condition without letting the patient finish her sentence! Is it...gout? No? Okay, uhh...nonono, don't tell me, I know this one (ooh, I love this game)...Elephantisis? Haemorrhoids? Typhoid?'. etc. How can you possibly make a diagnosis when your ears are clearly shut? If I had been brought up any other way I'd have bopped him.

One I would like to kick very hard and then run away is the genius GP who refused to acceptthat DS2 may have issues and quite seriously told me

" Pagwatch, if you keep talking about autism then you will make him autistic".

When DS2 got diagnosis of very severe regressive ASD I was tempted to shove said document up his nose.

But my current GP is sooooo bloody fantastic. Whenever I see him which is actually pretty rare he says " so how is Paglet boy and more importantly how are you" and it always makes me cry.

( is it weird that I cry on the rare occasions that people are kind to me. Whole other thread I suspect)

My GP is lovely. Really brilliant. I feel for his family as he puts in way too much energy to his job.

But I have had some consistently useless GPs as a child, including one who prescribed for me, a 12 year old asthmatic, a slight but significant overdose of ibuprofen. After a week, I thought the floor was on fire and was totally out of it. The accompanying useless treatment for RSI (which was standard then so not GP's fault) meant I was also in extreme pain.

I wouldn't kill him, but might hang him up by his ankles for an hour or so.
