Tixylix nighttime cough medicine

I went to the pharmacist for some cough syrup for DS (22 months), she gave him Tixylix nighttime cough, the label on it says suitable for 1-10 year olds.

When I Google it, it says that it should not be given to children under 2. And I'm sure this was one of the medicines like Medised that the government recently changed the age limit on.

Do you know which is right?

DP has just given DS a dose and I'm not worried cos he's the size of a 3 year old, but if the pharmacist has made a mistake and should only be giving it to over 2s, I'll go back tomorrow and tell her.

Is it on this list. Does it have the active ingredient Pholcodine? If so, then it shouldnt be sold for under 2's any longer.

yes it does have pholcodine and it is on that list. I'll print that link off and show it to her.
Thanks Seona!
