Constant colds since starting playgroup

DD (2.4) has had constant colds/bugs since starting playgroup. She is at this moment sneezing away, having just had a terrible stomach bug and before that a nasty cough.

I know that this is normal but its making her actually too tired to enjoy playgroup, so she ends up getting upset and it is too much for her.

Does it get easier? Or should I take her out until she is a bit older with more stamina? She enjoys it when she doesn't have a cold but that is getting quite rare!!!

what arrangements do they have for outdoor play?

being inside in an overheated room with no windows open is a surefire way to catch every germ going!

we have a little girl just start at our nursery, age 3 , her first exposure to other children and for a while she did seem to pick up everything going for a few weeks
Now she seems as strong as an ox and, even to the extent that she seems immune to the chickenpox that everyone else has (11 out of 27 at the last count)

we have the windows open a little all the time and go out at least twice a day, even in the rain, we have umbrellas, wellies and little rainsuits

They go out most sessions, she is only there twice a week for 2.5 hours each time and probably spends half of that outside.

She has also been exposed to other children a lot, so it is a bit of a mystery.

I'm afrad it goes on until they are in Reception or Year 1 - but it does lessen as they get older and their immune systems continue to develop.

Young children tend to sneeze and cough all over one another. Regular handwashing may help.

It's frustrating as she loves playgroup on the odd occasion she is not sick!!

At least I am not working the days she is there so it's not essential she goes.
