Hi, has anyone used this on their child.
I have used this on my 6 YO but his verrucca seems to have got worse and now looks like he has several more. Does anyone know why this would happen?
I'm taking him to doctors later today, but just interested to see if anyone else has had problems.
Thanks

You should not use these type of products on children under the age of 12.
I am a medicine interact assistant and nursery nurse.
These products have harsh freezing chemicals in that could irritate your child's skin.

With children, make sure thier feet are cleaned daily with fresh socks on everyday. Put a plaster over the verrucca and dont let him pick it as this will cause spreading.

If he touches/or anyone else, his feet make sure to wash all hands to stop the spreading. Make sure his feet are dried thoroughly with his own towel and don't let him walk around the house bare footed.

Varrucca's can be common in children. Both my sister and I had them for several years. They eventually went after about 4 years.

Don't worry about this problem. I just suggest you don't use the gel again.

You shouldn't try to get rid of a verruca as you will not be giving the body the opportunity to buildup immunity to the virus that causes them. If they are left, they will go away within 2 years and not return.

If he can't put his foot down because of pain, you can put on a circular corn plaster (non-medicated) that will protect the sensitive area.
