Hi

My eldest DS aged 2 has had a rash since tuesady, it almost looks similar to acne without the white head, it is located only on his cheeks, arms and legs no where else he has been scratching it but he is normally scratchy due to dry skin, no other symptoms, ds2 (aged 1) has not yet contracted it.

He is fully immunised and has no known allergies, nothing has changed in eating or drinking habits or content.

Hi, does DS also have sores in his mouth -you can see it on the insides of the mouth? or is he more drooly than usual?

If so, he may have the Coxsackie virus aka hand foot and mouth virus, which my DD had a couple of months ago. It is contagious but otherwise sounds scarier than it is. It went away in a couple of days though we skipped all playdates for a week or so.

HTH
