Rash

Dd had had high temp, cough etc last fewdays as has dh. Developed rash last night, small red spots over private parts, stomach, back, chest and under chin. Also noticed she has White Tongue. Is this a normal post viral sort of thing?

I would be worried about the spots. I think you shoudl call NHS direct?

Rang to last might.did not seem overly concerned but said we could take her before opening hours at surgery. Fainter than yesterday but still there.

It could well be a viral rash, they're quite common if you've been ill for a few days.

I'd go to the GP just to make sure.

Is she alert? If so you probably have nothing to worry about. If she's floppy or lethargic get her to A&E.

Are they white spots on her tongue? How about the palms of her hands and soles of her feet? There's a lot of hand foot and mouth disease round here at the moment. Not as scary as it sounds - just a viral infection - but I would check with GP.

Does have a white tongue from time to time. Taken her to Gp. Says she has a v red ear and glands up so got some ab's and sounds like an ear infection.
