Does it matter if DD has eczema?

Month ago I realised that for a long time DD (7yo) has had an oval shaped patch of dry rough funny looking skin (like a healing burn mark) at the top of her back, about 2"x1". Week ago I noticed that the oval was getting better, but she had about 2 dozen smaller but similar marks (like welts) all over her, especially near the top of her back but also on her limbs (not face or front of torso).

I was thinking it could be a kind of eczema, she is quite fair and scars easily. The welts don't bother her in any way.

Does it sound like eczema? Do I do anything but monitor it?

If it doesn't bother her than I'd leave it. You could pop some moisturiser on it but some can make excema worse.

Could the original oval patch be ringworm? dd has discoid excema which is oval but which was mistaken for ringworm initially.

Thanks for the reply. Her spots don't look anything like ringworm or discoid excema (not picx on Internet, anyway). She mentioned one was itchy today, but that might be coincidence.

I'd see your GP just to check it's not something that needs any attention. Diagnosing skin conditions is not easy anyway, doing it as a layperson from the internet is NOT going to give you a reliable result.
